Grow Your Client Base
Part of the formula for being a successful real estate agent is having a strong client base. When you join BHHS Homesale Realty, you gain access to the essentials needed to build a real estate business that is constantly growing and succeeds in all types of markets.  Whether you just got your license or are an experienced agent who wants to take their business to the next level, we work with you to grow your business by reaching new clients and making more sales.

  1. Talk about yourself.
Forget about old-fashioned manners that dictate you shouldn't talk about yourself. Word of mouth is one of the best ways to get business, so by keeping quiet, you could be losing potential clients. The only way people know to ask about your services or recommend you to their friends and family is if you talk about yourself, what you do for a living, and your successes. Keep your business cards with you and hand them out to anyone who might find them useful. Remember, when you hand someone a business card, always give them at least two: one for them to keep, and the others for them to give away.

  2. Make and maintain contacts.
Networking isn't just about a list of names, it's about building relationships. Develop a daily practice of growing new leads. Whether it's through offline marketing or online prospecting, generating new leads is the basis of a successful real estate business.  Find a way to identify the needs of your clients and deliver what they're looking for. If you give a prospective client information that answers a question they may have, you establish yourself as a valuable resource. When they're ready to choose a real estate agent, you want to be the first one they think of.

  3. Email Potential Clients.
Engage with potential clients through email campaigns.  This gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge of the local area and the real estate industry.  You are top-of-mind when that client is ready to buy or sell a home.

  4. Embrace Social Media.
With about 2 billion people using social media, embracing platforms like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram is a great way to reach home buyers and sellers.  Make the most of social media platforms by running ads, sharing content, posting videos, and driving leads to your website.

  5. Project confidence.
Worried about winning over clients? Convince them with confidence. Nothing sells clients on your services faster than portraying yourself as someone who really knows your stuff. Learn to assume the role of the expert: Educate yourself in the neighborhoods you represent, the people, and the processes of real estate.

  6. Ask for referrals and testimonials.
When the job is done, don't be afraid to wrap things up by asking for referrals and possibly even a testimonial or an online review. If a client indicates that they know of someone you might be in need of an agent, don't leave it to them to pass on your information, but instead ask if you have permission to contact them. This gives you new contacts to add to your lists and allows you to start the process all over again with someone new as you add to your client base.
